Challenge Heaven - Heather's Sketch

This layout was created for Heather's Sketch Challenge over at Challenge Heaven.
I have swapped out the patchwork pieces with the strip of patterned paper.  It has a repetitive cloud pattern, so it kind of works as the patchwork.
I have used a Prima background stamp with several shades of chalk ink on white cardstock to create a subtle background and also fill the ink criteria part of the challenge.
I have used Kaiser's new 'Fine & Sunny' paper pad and collectables (except for the cloud strip which is Imaginisce) and a crochet flower made by my friend Tina.
I hope you like it!

Challenge Heaven - Donna's Challenge

This layout was created for Donna's Challenge over at Challenge Heaven, which was to use banners, big or small.
I went with small ones.
I have used an old sketch from Heather's Scrappy Sketches site.
Plus some awesome monkey things I have been saving for a while, a Purple Pumpkin button and some decorative buttons.
I hope you like it.

CSI Case File #15

This was my layout created for CSI Case File #15, yet again I never got it finished before the new case file was released, but it is still in time!
The photo was a result of Dad printing photos at home and his printer being low on ink, but I love the effect.
I love the colours in this case file, and have used them all.
From the EVIDENCE list I have used book papers (it is the first page from a old book, it has a medieval lady and vines on it and it suited the photo!  It is behind the title), I have also used Monsters (fussy cut from the Co-Ordinates papers and brushed with dimensional magic to give them a streaked glaze, which kind of looks like scales) and I have also used Metal (in the brads and photo corner).
From the TESTIMONY list I have used the prompt ' Let the Wild Rumpus Begin' as inspiration for my journalling.
I hope you like it!

Scrappy Sketches #14

This one was a quick and easy one yesterday, that required nothing that hurt my hand.
It was made using sketch #14 from the Scrappy Sketches blog made by Heather.
imogen loves to draw, but more often than no it is peacocks she draws, PEACOCKS????
I don't think she has ever seen one in real life!
I hope you like it!

Scrappy Sketches # 13

My hand has been killing me lately!  Last night the muscles around my thumb where swollen and hard to move, and finding a Doctor that will spend the time to look is hard, so I have gone back to my old Doctor, who is booked full until two weeks away, here's hoping he listens!
So my Scrapbooking has taken a slight back step, but I am still getting 1 or 2 layouts done a week, this one I have been working on for a few days.
It is for Heather's Scrappy Sketch #13.   I just love her sketches, they are so great to use and leave loads of room for adjustments.
I haveused a Kaiser wooden flourish vine piece, a Little Red Rocket bird button, some Prima essentials flowers and pebbles, accetate and alcohol inks for my heart and some Basic Grey Alphas.

I just thought I would share with you a photo of my beloved Cinder's, who always pops into my photos when I am taking layout shots and I usually crop her out!  I think she just wants to help!
 I hope you like it!

CSI Case File #14

Ok, I know I said I would get this uploaded before Case File #15 went up, but life didn't let me!
These photos are a few years old and I have never scrapped them, but I dug them out of my old photo box.
I have used all 5 Scheme colours and used the down loaded CSI Co-ordinates papers.
From the Evidence list I have used Animal Accents and Wet Medium.
For my wet medium I have taken a banner hand cut from Prima Pixie Glen paper, then with a very fine brush and a few colours of GlimmerMist I have painted the flowers and leaves!
From the Testimony List I have used document a childhood memory.
I hope you like it!

Scrappy Sketches #12

So after today I have almost caught up on Heather's Scrappy Sketches!!  This double layout was Sketch #12.  I am slowly beginning to love doubles a little more, especially for my holiday photos.  These photos where taken at Movie World on our 'honeymoon/family holiday' back in 2007.  I really haven't even touched my photos, which is a shame because it was a great holiday!
My latest Purple Pumpkin order arrived today and I am so glad I have ordered the star/circle die cut because it worked perfectly on the page!!
I hope you like it!!

Scrappy Sketches #11

Another layout done, this one was quick and simple, but I am happy with the result!
It is Heather's Scrappy Sketches #11.
I hope you like it!!

Scrappy Sketches #10

Wow 70 layouts so far for 2012!  I don't know how many years it's been since I've scrapped so much, but it feels great to be getting photos scrapped and into albums and using up some of my huge stash!!
This layout was scrapped for Scrappy Sketches #10, which was the first week of March's sketch, but I love Heather's Sketches they have so much freedom to work with!
Again it is photos from our Wedding, but I have so so many to scrap, so you'll be seeing them for a while!
I have used some of my Handmade flowers (the white and brown die cut flowers, leaves/vines and buds) from a swap group on  Home and Scrapped.  I just loved them and they look great on my page!
I hope you like it!

Show Us Your Stuff April 1st Challenge

Yesterday Mum and Jean come over to spend the afternoon scrapping at my house, but I spent more time cooking and making cuppas (as my Nan and Pop also popped in!) than scrapping, so this all I established for the afternoon!
It was created for Show Us Your Stuff's April 1st Challenge, which was to take inspiration from the image below (credit Pinterest)
I have taken my inspiration from both the pink and green colour scheme and also the crochet/fabric elements.
I have used some Lime Tree Creations trims and flowers for the crochet elements, some fabric May Arts leaves and a Purple Pumpkin flower - turned into a Die Cut Butterfly (that I had used the top part on another layout and found the base too big to use so it got re-purposed!)
I have also used the April 'Try This' Technique which was quilling - I have created what I found out is an 'open heart' which was quiet easy to make!
I hope you like it!

CSI Case File #13

This layout was created (last minute AGAIN!) for CSI's Case File #13.  It's my vow to get this weeks Case File done and uploaded BEFORE #15 goes up!!
It is photos from our trip to Queensland in 2007!  We traveled to Brisbane via plane then came home on the train, and it was an experience!!
This was the case file we had to work with.  I have used all 5 Scheme colours and have used the CSI Co-Ordinates to help with this.
I have used map print, Sting and hearts from the Evidence List and from the Testimony list I have used the Inspiration Word 'Delight' in my hidden journaling (under the top photo - you can see the tag says noted at the top) to document the new experiences we had while on the two full days on the train!
I hope you like it!

Challenge Heaven's Cyber Crop - Heather's Sketch

This layout was created for Challenge Heaven's March Cyber Crop Challenge of Heather's Sketch.  Heather makes the most wonderful sketches.  The challenge was to use the sketch and also use handmade flowers.
So for me it was a great chance to get another layout done from my wedding album, it's really starting to look great.
I hope you like it!

Challenge Heaven Cyber Crop - Kerri's Challenge

I have another layout to share, this one was created for Challenge Heaven's March Cyber Crop and Kerri's challenge, which was to use two or more photos, with cake or presents in them and to use handmade embellishments.
I have used ots of scraps and bits and pieces I have had laying around for this layout.
I hope you like it!

Challenge Heaven Cyber Crop Alanna's Challenge

These cards where made for Alanna's challenge over at the Challenge Heaven Cyber Crop last Friday night.  I have been wanting to make some cards for a while, but my hand has been really sore, so there has been not much scrappin' happening!!
Alanna's challenge was to make a set of 3 or more cards which had a sentiment different to the usual 'Happy Birthday' and featured one dominate colour.
I have used an Authentique - Blissful paper pad for my dominant yellow cards with grey and aqua, I have used my Forever Friends stamp set (love the sentiments in this set!) a few Prima flowers, some buttons, Kaiser Madame Boutique Stickers, pins and Seam Binding.
I am very happy with the results!!
I hope you like them!

CSI Case File #12

This layout was created today (almost too late AGAIN!!) for CSI's Case File #12.
I have used the new co-ordinates that are supplied with each Case File, they make completing the layouts easy!!
I have used all 5 Scheme colours.
I have used hot air balloon image, flowers, clouds and stars from the Evidence list and from the Testimony list I have used Used String around journalling spot.
 I hope you like it!!

Stuck?! Sketches March 1st

Another layout I finished over at Treasures to Scrap, it was for the Stuck?! Sketches March 1st sketch, unfortunately I missed the dead line to get this uploaded, but seeing as it was a photo from 2010, I am glad to get it done!!
I have used loads of paper scraps from the Kaiser Magic Happens paper pad and some cute bits and pieces from D-Lish Scraps I won in an online challenge in January.
I hope you like it!!

CSI Case File #11

Here is a layout I completed last weekend at a crop over at Treasures To Scrap, this was created for CSI Case File #11
I have used all 5 Scheme Colours.
I have used kite accents, string and tearing from the Evidence list.  From the Testimony list I have used Scatter your journalling across the page in the form of both my hand journal spot and wording cut from pattern paper.
I have used lots of bits and pieces including a cute Purple Pumpkin Sock Monkey Button.
I hope you like it!
