Fire Photo's from Yesterday

Yesterday has to be one of the scariest days of my life. I was so happy the kids were in Moe with James' Parents and safe. I had all my albums, kids momento boxes, wedding and birth certificates packed next to the door just in case.

The fires came close, and we were lucky to get the wind change or the fire would have come straight for us, but I feel really bad saying that because it means people like Samantha had their houses in the direct path of the fire.

The glow was just eerie, simply eerie. There are no other ways to describe it, the orange glow, the smoke billowing in the sky, the leaves and chunks of wood falling from the sky like confetti, and the smell of smoke.

When the high danger had well passed, James, went to get the kids only to find the roads out of Warragul were blocked due to a grass fire! It took until after midnight for us to be able to get the kids. But we were not prepared to spend the night without them.
